We are honoured to present Dr.Angela Davis, who will talk about women, race and class, her work in human rights and her hopes for the planet in the post-Trump era. A leading figure in the one million strong Women’s March on Washington in January 2017, she is a writer, scholar, teacher and activist.

Angela Davis is world renowned for her ongoing work to combat all forms of oppression in the USA and beyond. Once on the FBI’s most wanted list, she has borne personal witness to all of the struggles of our era. She is the author of ten books, including Angela Davis: An AutobiographyWomen, Race, and Class; Freedom Is a Constant Struggle: Ferguson, Palestine, and the Foundations of a Movement; Blues Legacies and Black Feminism: Gertrude "Ma" Rainey, Bessie Smith, and Billie Holiday.
