We are delighted to welcome two of the most exciting designers, illustrators and picture book makers working today to Dún Laoghaire for this very special event. Beatrice Alemagna and Chris Haughton will talk about their ideas and their work with Margaret Anne Suggs from Illustrators Ireland. Immerse yourself in a world of colour and story.

Beatrice Alemagna was born in Bologna and now works and lives in Paris. Her work has won many international awards and she has exhibited all over the world, from Munich to Tokyo. Her most recent picture book is, What is a Child?.

Chris Haughton is an Irish designer and a picture book maker. His first picture book, A Bit Lost has been translated into 20 languages and has won awards in 7 countries including the Dutch Picture Book of the Year. He co-founded NODE, a fair trade social business based in Nepal in 2012 and one of his fair trade rugs will be on display at dlr LexIcon. His latest picture book is Goodnight Everyone.

Supported by Childrens' Books Ireland and Illustrators Ireland. Beatrice Alemagna appears in partnership with the French Embassy in Ireland.

This event will be followed by a book signing, bookshop on site.

There will be family tours of A World of Colour exhibition at 2pm and 2.30pm
on Level 3 of dlr LexIcon, no booking required.
