With moving insight and uncanny precision, Curtis Sittenfeld pinpoints the questionable decisions, missed connections, and sometimes extraordinary coincidences that make up a life.  It could be said that she writes what we’re all thinking - if only we could express it with the wit of a supreme satirist, the enchantment of an old-fashioned storyteller, and the vision of an American original. Join Curtis for this broad ranging discussion with writer and broadcaster Maia Dunphy, of her five bestselling novels: PrepThe Man of My DreamsAmerican Wife, Sisterland and Eligible. We are especially interested in her first short story collection, You Think It, I’ll Say It, published in 2018, in which she upends assumptions about class, relationships, and gender roles in a nation that feels both adrift and viscerally divided.

On her first visit to Ireland, do not miss an opportunity to hear first hand from this best selling American author who has managed the trick of simultaneously being an enormously popular conventional storyteller and a gifted writer of the literary novel.
